Job Description

Key responsibilities

Major duties and responsibilities of Business Analyst: 

  • Analyse existing business processes, systems, applications, and functions to ensure strategic ICT objectives are met
  • Build and maintain key relationships with customers, technical staff and stakeholders to source business requirements, determine and resolve issues
  • Provide accurate advice about business, technical issues and solutions to assist with specifying business requirements for new or existing solutions
  • Work together with stakeholders to define and record business needs.
  • Apply project management methodologies and techniques to create project plans.
  • Manage the implementation of functional solutions and ensure their successful rollout.
  • Document users and training so that new systems and processes can be adopted more easily.
  • Analyse data, communicate insights, and make data driven recommendation using the business intelligence and analytics software Power Bi, Tableau, SQL etc.
  • Continuously assess, analyse, and communicate system’s needs, while also managing system processes and providing monthly status reports to relevant stakeholders
  • Provide end users with official training sessions as well as continuing assistance and direction.

Desired Skills and Experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor/master's in computer science, Engineering or a related degree with 1 year's previous experience in a similar role. 
  • Able to work Independently, as well as with a team. 
  • Good organisational and communication skills 
  • Excellent communicator and analytical thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions. 
  • High level of flexibility and a positive approach to the challenging demands of high-growth outcome 
  • Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Australia will be preferred.
