Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Provide practical and people-focused advice to managers on managing staff performance, development, and conduct
Conduct complex investigations ensuring legislative compliance, due process and fairness and take responsibility for the outcomes
Represent the business in interactions with unions and other organisations as required
Work closely with managers and supervisors to build their confidence and capability in leading their teams, resolving issues and fostering a positive work environment including training in ER framework
Responsible for onboarding and off boarding of employee related matters for new and ceased customer contracts
Maintain relevant, accurate and forward-thinking People and Culture policies and procedures and provide suggestions for improvement
Represent the business’ interest in employment related legal proceedings and industrial disputes
Assist Payroll in liaising with staff around payroll related queries and deliver outcomes
Provide assistance as required with HR administrative duties
Any other ad hoc People & Culture related matters
About You
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or similar field
Minimum 2-3 experience in a Human Resources generalist role or similar
Proficiency in training and development tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and HR platforms
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with all departments and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Deep understanding of HR legislation and awards
Ability to work independently
Excellent understanding of people challenges within the business
