Job Description

The Opportunity

As National Operations Manager – Security, you will oversee and lead all national security operations. Based in Sydney, this is your chance to shape the direction of a growing division, build a high-performing team, and drive a culture anchored in professionalism, performance, and trust. Reporting to the Department Head, you will work across all states, support key personnel, and ensure our services remain compliant, effective, and forward-thinking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead national security operations, managing a network of state-based leaders and support staff
  • Design and implement national security strategies, policies, and risk mitigation initiatives
  • Partner with the Head of Risk & Compliance to ensure licensing and regulatory compliance
  • Develop and mentor future leaders through structured coaching and training programs
  • Oversee national rostering and workforce planning to drive efficiency and meet financial targets
  • Analyse divisional P&L and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Facilitate quarterly national workshops to foster team alignment

 

What You Bring

  • 10+ years’ experience in senior roles within the security industry (Tier 1 experience highly valued)
  • Proven leadership of large, remote, or interstate teams
  • Thorough understanding of Modern Awards, risk frameworks, and compliance obligations
  • Commercially minded with a strategic outlook
  • Calm and decisive under pressure
  • Tertiary qualifications in Security Operations, Risk Management, or Workplace Safety (Cert IV or higher)
  • Background in Defence or Law Enforcement (highly desirable)
